Endowment Fund and Annual Mardi Gras Event

Did you know that tuition covers only about 70% of the total cost of educating a child at St. Mary’s School? We rely on the generous support of many people who are committed to our school’s academic excellence in a Christ-centered environment. Having an endowment fund helps us to contain tuition costs and to make a St. Mary’s education available to as many people as we can.

The St. Mary’s School Endowment Fund was established in 1994. An endowment fund comprises capital that is set aside permanently so that the interest can be used on an annual basis. Because an endowed gift is one in which the principal is never touched, the fund gives our school security and allows you to invest in the future of St. Mary’s School. The goal is to have the fund reach $1 million before regular, annual disbursements will be used to offset school expenses and provide student scholarships.

How can you help us to ensure that St. Mary’s School can continue to thrive to educate mature Christian future leaders?

  • Pray daily for St. Mary’s School and its students, families, teachers, and staff
  • Become a Sponsor of the Annual Mardi Gras Gala to benefit the School Endowment Fund
  • Attend the Gala and experience the St. Mary’s community firsthand
  • Consider including the School Endowment Fund in your estate planning
  • Make a gift or pledge to the Endowment Fund
  • Recommend the school to your friends, family, neighbors, parishioners, and co-workers. A strong enrollment is always good for the school!

maskMardi Gras Night

A memorable evening of great food, music, games, and more…

Extraordinary plans are underway at St. Mary’s School for a memorable evening out for the adults of our school, parish, and local community – Mardi Gras 2017– a special event to benefit the school Endowment Fund.  We hope you will join us on Saturday, February 25th at 6:30pm in the school Family Life Center.  The evening will include an authentic (and fantastic) Cajun/Creole dinner, music, silent & live auction, casino games with beer and wine available for purchase.095kb

We also invite you to partner with us on this signature event by becoming a corporate sponsor.  You or your company will be recognized in several ways: your logo/name promoted through our social media sites, at the event, in our school and parish publications; acknowledgement in our auction catalog; recognition in the St. Mary’s School Annual Report and more! We are pleased to offer flexible benefit options to our Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond level sponsors.

You are also invited to donate an item, service, or underwrite funds for this event. As a donor, you (or your company) will receive recognition in our auction catalog, with your item at the auction, and in the St. Mary’s School Annual Report.

In addition to supporting our school and community, your tax-deductible donation delivers high-quality local marketing to families committed to supporting like-minded local businesses throughout the year.

Donating is quick and easy.  For additional information on sponsorship, donations, or event tickets, please contact Sarah Trent directly at 483-9700.  We gladly accept payment by check or credit card. Deadline for accepting sponsorships is Friday, February 10; deadline for all auction donations is Friday, February 17.

On behalf of the St. Mary’s community, thank you! With your participation, St. Mary’s School will have the financial resources to provide our students a high standard of Catholic education, to maintain and upgrade our facility, and to ensure that funds are available to help to close the gap between the actual cost of education and the price of tuition in order to keep tuition costs down for all SMS families.
