In this digital age parents appreciate having information about their child’s progress in school at their fingertips, 24/7. The school provides an online portal to this information called FACTS/RenWeb. It is used by teachers to post homework and grades, and by the school to maintain our student database and communicate via email and ParentAlert, a notification system that calls/texts parents automatically. Parents can access this through the link at the top of our webpage entitled ParentsWeb or >>here<<.
The school has a weekly electronic newsletter that is sent via email every Tuesday. It is referred to as the Blue Notes. The Blue Notes contain any important announcements for the week, news items of interest, athletics information, and Home and School Association announcements. This is an important source of information that parents should make sure to read each week.
Individual teachers will communicate with parents and students what their personal plan for communication will be. Some teachers of younger students send weekly notes home; others send information as needed. Students in grades PK-5th grade have a weekly folder that is sent home on Wednesdays or Fridays, typically. These folders have one pocket for items to Return to School and one for items to Take Home.
St. Mary’s School requires its students to wear a school uniform. Parents can purchase uniform items at a variety of retail stores that offer uniform-style clothing that meets school guidelines.
New to SMS for the 2023-2024 school year: Schoolbelles. You can register to purchase uniforms from Schoolbelles by visiting their website. Our school code is s3055.
Another option for uniforms is Lands End. However, their selection is limited. The school’s Preferred School Code at Land’s End is 900148412. Parents can access St. Mary’s products directly via their website. Land’s End offers several products on which the school logo can be embroidered.
Parents have also had luck shopping at Target, Old Navy, and Walmart.
Used uniforms may be purchased from the White Elephant Thrift Store, locate on our campus (next to the parish offices).
